Platform beds are designed for a mattress only and do not require the use of a 'box spring'. Platform beds may provide either a solid surface for the mattress to rest on, or more often a 'slat roll' of closely spaced solid boards.
Our platform beds are available in many different designs, from craftsman to contemporary. Some provide a 'higher-off-the-floor' aesthetic, while others a 'lower-to-the-floor' profile. Unlike many mattresses today that are often too thick and unsuitable for a platform bed, European Sleep Design's mattresses have a lower profile and are ideal for platform bed use.
